I posted this on another trike forum and it opened a lot of eyes.

Got the renewal notice from Progressive. I have a friend that is an All State agent in the next town. Started comparing. Although All State is a bit higher with my $10,000 added Trike valuation All State includes passengers where I discovered that Progressive does not.

This is something progressive holders might want to check out for themselves, but I called Progressive twice to confirm that passengers are not incuded in the liability protection.

I would encourage all with insurance to go over the coverage with your agent or company rep.

i just recently switched from progressive to Allstate. Allstate beat them by a bunch. At least in my case.

IF the passenger is a relative, household resident, he/she will not be covered by your liability insurance for bodily injury. If the passenger is a non relative, non household resident then they would be covered. Call your Allstate agent and Progressive for clarification before making choices without all the information.

I had heard of this and I have Progressive.I don't ride two up so I have no worries. When I get my other bikes finished,I will be switch to Farm Bureau or All State.I know I'll be riding two up when I finish my trike project.
