After having to change my Motortrike Spyder kit out for the Adventure kit my reverse will only work for about 3 seconds with the Spyder kit it would backup all day is there something I should be looking at. Any help would be appreciated

Typically, when you just change the kit on a trike no part of the Honda OEM reverse system is changed or modified. You may want to direct your attention to the reverse solenoid next to the battery for a possible overheating issue. Also, check to ensure that the reverse module wires are not damaged. As always, please feel free to give us a call for more information – just ask for Richard Purdy!

I think it's GREAT when a company like yours takes the time to moniter the forums and then to answer questions, super service! All trike companies should follow your lead!

To the op my trike does the same if sitting on an incline as in backing off of an incline such as backing off my table lift, the trike has no resistance against the starter motor and it will slip out of reverse and roll on its own, I then have to re-engage reverse and it resumes working. Works perfect
on level ground. Charley

This same problem was talked about on another board just last week. I don't have personal experience but it sounds similar to the other board OP. Try to cycle the reverse switch. If it runs for another three seconds then quits look to see if fuse #1 on the bike's fuse panel is blown. The person that answered the OP indicated that the reverse feedback signal feeds through that fuse and if blown will allow reverse operation for a few seconds at a time.

Being an old electronics tech I can't help but wonder why the fuse might burn open. Nobody has offered up that answer as yet.

Hope this helps....:) :) :)
