Problem with audio forward/back track button

I have a 2014 TG Ultra. I am having a problem with the track forward/back button. It works OK for the radio channels, but doesn't work with a thumb drive. I'm hoping it's not the whole switch. If I go into the menu/tracks on the right handlebar, I can use that switch to go to/from (actually up/down) the music tracks.

Any ideas?

Gary, I'm assuming you're referring to the volume switch on the left handlebar, I can go back or forward on my thumb drive with no problem. If it was working before my best guess is the switch but then you said it works with the radio, hmm ? You might have to dig deeper into the manual for a setting. Did it work before ? Any software updates ?

I had that problem on a 14 Tri Glide I had in the past. And I had it somehow or another on a different setting to shuffle or something in regards to the way I had the songs listed to play. I can't for the life of me remember what it was though but I finally corrected it by switching it back to playing the next song in order on the thumb drive. Sorry I'm so vague in my memory of what the problem was but like you I was afraid it was in the switch or the entire music system and happily my wife finally found that the channel selections had been changed somehow. Anyway you might check that area of the system.

Thanks, you were close. I did get the answer on another forum. Simply a matter of pushing the Preset button to Seek on the right hand switch.

Don't know how that button got pushed - maybe someone was pranking me, but everything is back to normal now. Don't know why it didn't effect the radio stations too.

Now that you mention it that was what my problem was to. I don't know how it ever got pushed but it obviously did. I'm glad our problems were easily solved...

I may be late to the party here, but I had that issue on my 2018 and it ended up being a setting somewhere, but sorry, don't remember which one it was.

YMMV
