Problem installing Trike Wings

I am having a problem installing Trike Wings. At first I was thinking it was my 1500 Goldwing but I looked at 4 other 1500 and they are all the same as mine. The problem is I am not able to install the trike wings with the same angle on both sides. There is a piece of white plastic on each side in front of my crash bars and they do not have the same space between the bars and the end of the white plastic. Like I said, I looked at 4 other 1500 and they are all the same as mine. I have been told this is because the heads are not stright across from each other[/ATTACH]. What am I missing here?

I have aquestion on the Trike Wings also.
#1.If you use a full trike cover,do they fit underneath okay?
#2.How vulnerable are they for breakage, say if someone bumped into one of them, like cutting between the trike and a parked car next to trike and didn't see them.Don't like to park next to cars, but sometimes they park next to me if I have already gone in somewhere.
I know they stick out quite far and was just wondering.
Thanks

Are you trying to install them in front of the bar or behind the bar? I have a 2012 and when I first started to put them on I was trying to put them in front, but they go behind the bar. It was hard to tell from your images.
