I need help from you electronic gurus. On my 94 1500 the passenger headset lost the right side input. I've tried known good headsets, tested the headset junction wire, and even swapped out the audio system with my 92. The external speakers all work properly. I realize I have a wire problem but don't know what wires to check or how to test them. Thanks in advance for any help.

Sorry ... I don't work on anything other then GL1800s. However, if it were an 1800, I'd tell you that in almost all cases, headset audio problems are almost always due to either the 2 cords going to the helmet (the one connected to the bike, and the one connected to the helmet), or the audio stuff within the helmet itself. Occasionally there is an exception to that, but it is rare.

FYI ... on a GL1800, the external and internal systems have separate amps. But there is no such thing as left or right.

Hopefully something there helps.

I realize most audio problems are caused by headset or cable issues, but as I said I've tried known good headsets and cables.
