So the 19’s are out, and with the issues with my current trike I am contemplating an upgrade. I like the burnt orange/denim. I’ve seen the combo on a cvo streetglide at the dealer beautiful, but. I use bug slide or an equivalent before or after a ride, it does a great job on the surfaces that it is used on. Has anyone used this on denim paint? I also have concern about the longevity of the denim mixed in with the normal paint for washing and polishing. Any input would be appreciated.

Just a point of information. Harley has been using denim paint since 2006. If there was a problem with the wear and cleaning I think all of would of heard about it by now. So rest easy on that point.

Went down to the dealer yesterday and asked about the denim/painted areas. They recommended trying not to get any of those bug slide type of sprays on the denim. He mentioned that it will eventually cause the denim areas to fade quickly or become shiny and then become a lightish grey. Of course hd has a product that can remove bugs etc and restore the denim color, and is safe for all painted areas. As far as polish goes stay away from the denim. They also had an aftermarket wash type product made for denim paint.
