over 20000 miles

At 19,000 I replaced front with a rear tire from a 2008 Ultra, they are the same size. Installed it with reverse rotation. I now have 20,000 miles on this tire and it still has lots of tread on it. Also it has a little more tread area on the road so it steers better.

18,000 and 20,0000 miles out of a front Tglide front tire?? What am I doin wrong? Are you guys riding strictly in straight lines? Since a trike seems to be fighting both rear wheels to turn, I'm guessing there's as much scuffing as turning goin on with the front wheel. But my original front tire was shot at 10,000 miles. I do ride a little more agressively when Ma's not with me but I wouldn't think it's enough to account for a 50% reduction in tread wear. And just for the record, I haven't seen a speeding ticket in 20 or so years.

Any ideas?

I got 18000 out of the first one, now I have over 21000 on this one, plan on changing it at the end of the season.

couple of things what is the tire pressure and is the tire balance correctly. Wheel bearings are bad..

I don't know what to say, I have 20,000 on my stock tire 11 t/g, But it will be replaced ''real'' soon. And I will use another stock tire.

I don't drive fast and I don't drive slow , I just drive,

I did notice when I put the lift kit in [At 7 hundred miles] the steering effort got much lighter....

I ride through the curves aggressive most of the times unless I have the wife on board. I did put Dennis' lift kit on when the bike was new.

I just turned 14K on my original front tire and was going to change it until I had it in the shop for a Dyno and the owner said I still had quite a few miles left on it. So I will hold off changing it for now....

All good stuff but it might help us new trike riders if you told us the tire pressures both front and back. Mod status is also important, it seems that the lift kit might add a few miles as well as make the cornering a little easier.

tks guys,
RC

Also got nearly 20,000 miles from the first front tire. Will be replacing the second when we get back from this road trip. Are you using your front break a lot?? That could do it.

Good Luck
