Hope You're up and about 100% very, very soon....Glad Your injuries weren't any worse than they are. I always hate to bring this up, but You would be amazed how much better these things are with Gear on>>> Jacket with Armor, Riding Pants with Armor or at least Kevlar Jeans, Motorcycle Boots and Gloves, and a Good Helmet...I've tried it both ways. Fared better in 60-70 MPH Crashes with gear, than in 20 MPH "Fallovers" without it........Hope Your Healing starts soon.....ThumbUp

Actually had just changed to the shorts and t-shirt and sneakers for a triple header softball game. The road rash is actually very minor. It was the sudden stop that I think jammed my legs up that caused most of problems. Who knew there would be fallen trees in the woods.
:Crap::qpnmt:

Ouch Mr. Bozo!! Sorry for your mishap, glad it wasn't worse!

Well, being home 24/7 with the wife will give you a taste of what retirement life is like...

Yep, Any Accident, at best, is a Bad Thing.....Really glad You're ok, and can joke about it......ThumbUp :10:

Just talked to tow company. He says it doesn't look to bad. Doesn't help that he was alone and just dragged bike up on flatbed still in layed down position. He says when he got to the scene, he slipped on pavement also with his truck.
I am going to try and drive by there later this week. He says there would be a couple people available to lift it up and load it on my trailer.

We will "cross our fingers" and hope for the best... ThumbUp

In the "Old Days" before Rollbacks, I've seen Motorcycles swinging on the back of Wreckers banging against the back of the Truck....more damage leaving the wreck than sustained by the wreck in a lot of cases......:(

So Now your LUCKY THE CLOWN :D I'm glad your ok and able to joke and talk about it. I had an accident two yrs ago just before Christmas. I rolled my pickup twice ! So I feel some of your pain. Andy I just glad it was as bad as it could be. Hope for a speedy recovery. Hope the Bike is repairable also. I just got my New 2006 Electra Glide. And I'm still re learning the thing. Now you'll be doing the same soon ThumbUp Again I'm GLAD your ok. Rick

Soooo Andrew How are you doing today. We need up dates on our favorite Clown ThumbUp
Doc put hinged braces on knees. Need mri. Got bike yesterday. Not too bad. My mother and wife both say to get a backup trike. See my report elswhere about VW trike chopper I looked at today.
Did I mention there is only one thing worse than the constant itching from poison ivy (confirmed) over my body? Its my wife telling me every 2 minutes to stop scratching. Now that's painful. I'm on prednisone for the ivy. Hasn't helped yet.:gah:

Couple pics of damage from my cell. Shows where old guy wire support hit, gets bent on ground with new wire in background and one side of tour pak. Mirror also smashed and plates mounting front crash bar look a little bent with no bending visible on frame.:AGGHH::Wrong::Crap::busted::censored:
Better pics on good camera, not uploaded yet.

It all looks pretty easy to fix.

Thats the depressing part, nothing cheap when it says Harley Davidson:).

"TRUE"....the Other Companies have been climbing up the "Price Ladder" too....gota' make a profit to stay in business....really "iffy" out there in the Economic Business World nowadays.....ThumbUp

sounds like one of those events where skills and experience turn what could have been a lot worse into something you will be able to laugh about once the inconvienience of it all is over. having the ability to formulate a quick plan of action , and the skills to pull it off is what saves lives, usually your own. might seem a funny time to offer congratulations but they are peobably earned

Just realized. You are either a really fast reader or are reacting to 2 posts ago.

So I need an update. How are you doing and felling NOW!. The nights I work I don't hardly make it on here. Not enough time in the day.. I did notice that your Harley has the stock mufflers on it ? Also what yr is your bike?? Hope your feeling a LOT better today. I haven't been on here for a short while. So busy with grand kids visit & work . Can we have an update ? Rick

Went back to work this week. Only in office. Still some swelling in legs. No permanent damage. Probably back to travelling next month. Can't quite bend one knee enough to work on equipment.
The bike is an '04 Electraglide with 113k miles. Still runs good. No major damage. Plan on fixing up and selling. Don't really have confidence for 2 wheels anymore. Ridden 2-wheels for hundreds of thousands of miles in all 48 lower states. Going with 3 only for future. See posts elsewhere for backup VW trike I got.

Well itchy. It takes time to heal. Yeah I understand the feelings for a 3 wheeler. And its a good choice . Got to be careful of anything you ride. Glad to hear your up and about. What about all the itching
