Open Trunk Warning Liht

I'm new to this Trike Talk and have a burning question. My second GW trike conversion was delivered on Tuesday. It's a 07 GL1800 with the Motortrike conversion kit, I have a right side open trunk light that came on and now is flashing. I have checked to make sure the lower trunk was closed tightly but the flashing like will not go off. Can someone help with this issue and is it a simple fix?

If you can get to the switch wires/connection, unplug it. If the light goes out , the switch is shot.
