Old Boss Hoss bikes and trikes engine reliability

I do not see were a small block Chevy motor would need a rebuild unless it had a lot of miles or no service done to it ? most Boss Hoss I have seen usually have little to no miles on them, most of them motors were just gm crate motors, no big cams or high compression, & I do not think they get beet to shit , the guy next door has A Boss Hoss I bet its never been over 4000 RPM .

Springs and rings no. Would be more concerned with the rear main seal and intake gaskets leaking. If it has aluminum heads, block, water pump etc and the antifreeze hasn’t been kept changed, then I might be a bit concerned with internal corrosion, especially the freeze plugs. Unless it’s been obviously neglected and kept in a harsh environment, I wouldn’t be a bit afraid of it. Now riding it, yes I would be terrified of dumping it and breaking my leg!
