OK, MAYBE, I was wrong about my helmet LOL

There just might actually be a used for the leather jacket, chaps and that
motorcycle helmet.
We were east bound thru Quivera Refuge today, when a sparrow came up out
of the ditch and hit me on the right shin. Then it came up and bounced off my
faceshield and helmet.
Minor bruise on leg and no damage to the noggin.

I once had an owl get dazzeled by my headlights and bounce off my helmet.The owl did not survive

I just ducked from a bird heading for my head yesterday. I did hit a bat once with my leg.

I nailed a pheasant a few years ago. Luckily, I ducked (no pun intended) in time to miss it coming over the top of the windshield. Glad that you're OK!
