OK, Here's My Issue

Raking my front end with VTXtreme Raked Triple Tree - anybody know how to nock the OEM races out? There's no real lip to tap against - any suggestions ?

If I recall correctly, there are two indentations in the steering stem tube to allow you to drive the bottom race out from the top, and the top from the bottom. I recall that they are to front and rear of the tube....

OK maybe I missed it but what kind of motorcycle do you have?

You may have to take a Dremel grinder or such and cut the outer races out of the steering head.

On my old 1st gen Venture one popped out but the other I had to make 2 cuts to take a wedge out before it would pop out...

Another way to remove the outer races in the steering head is to lay a weld bead on the inside of the races. something about a half an inch or so and that should shrink the races enough for them to drop out.
