oil scavagesystem on modern twin cam

'09 tri-glide
I have put a oil temp sensor in the "scanenge plug hole " ( next to drain
plug hole) ; is there any way to scavange the used oil out after a oil change?
if i've hear correctly the new twin cam engine sends oil to the oil filter before
the oil goes to the engine.

You are correct that the oil goes to the filter before it goes to the engine. I don't worry about scavenging old oil from the engine, at best there is a half quart left behind at oil change time.
