Oil Pressure added gauge?

Has anybody successfully added an Oil Pressure Gauge that displays all the time? Possibly in the left panel next to the infotainment screen? It would be GREAT if they could allow oil pressure in one of the variable data fields of the Infotainment screen.

I know you can see it using the "info" button.

I had my friends 2015 Ultra Limited apart. His CB module would have had to have been moved since the bracket holding it is attached behind the area we wanted to mount an oil pressure gauge. I could not get the older style gauge to work from the sending unit .... possibly because it is a canbus system now and the signal is different????

Thanks

Yes Bob, I installed an Oil Pressure gauge in the place of my OEM Air Temp gauge and relocated it right above my Oil Temp gauge on the right hand side of my speedo/tach on my 2013 Trike. Can't remember what gauges you have on your Trike (newer than my 2013) so this info may not be appropriate for your Trike.

T off the oil sender and put it any where, I sput off my oil pump on my Panhead and used a Mack Diesel gauge with a light, I hung it off the rear rocker box

I really do not think you can T off the sending unit of a canbus system oil pressure sending unit and hook up to an older style oil pressure gauge. I think I will need a special gauge like these for automotive applications > http://www.speedhut.com/about-freedomgauges.html and it will have to be wired into the electronics correctly.

The other option may be finding a way to add another older style oil pressure sending unit to control the older style gauge.

Harley does sell a digital oil pressure gauge add on but I hate the location down by the head where it is located.

I'm still looking for anyone who has added an oil pressure gauge to a canbus system.

The can Bus reads all thru low voltage thru the ECM It can be done but be careful, you can remove the plug in the oil pan but be careful it is tight and may crack the pan

Looks like there is an APP called Harleydroid which uses a canbus 6 pin H-D to 16 pin OBD2 connector harness .... and a ELM327 bluetooth adapter. This should give real time data to a smart phone. Anybody here use HarleyDroid?

There are several patch cords similar to this to hook up to a computer when doing a dyno tune.

Can the Power Vision handlebar display show oil pressure?

My local Harley dealer said that the MOCO is planning to come out with an optional pressure read on the 2017's by about February 2017 instead of just having the oil pressure read say "OK".
