Odometer question

Hi,
I'm looking to purchase a older 1500 GW trike. Looking at the pictures, I've noticed that the odometer is never straight across. I know in cars, that used to indicate that the miles had been turned back. Is this also true of motorcycles?
Thanks in advance.

Can't say for GW's but in HD's, I have had a hell of a time opening up speedometers for a '77 that needed repair. It was really sealed up.

Should be able to tell some kind of number by the year model. My other idea is if you don't trust the seller don't but it.RIDE SAFE

Not neccessarily an omen of "bad things".....mechanical odometers tend to wear the small plastic divider teeth over a period of time causing this. I bought a Honda 230 Motard brand new (one of few recent models without a digital odometer), and it was misaligned from day one...."happens".....ThumbUp
