I just ordered up my Champion Trike conversion kit for my 07 Goldwing from Freedom Rides in Lincoln, Ca. Now the wait. I am really excited to be making the change to a trike. I have been riding for over 20 years but the time has come to make the transition to a trike. The transition is being made due to bursitus in my hip. I have no second thoughts about the move to a trike! I just want to Ride!!!

Congratulations Roy on making the decision. I took my 2010 bike into a installer about 4 years ago and told him to put on a Champion S/A kit. As luck would have it he had one in stock. I took it in Tuesday morning and Friday afternoon they called me to tell me it was ready to take home.
It was a white knuckle drive home since riding a trike is much different from 2 wheels. Take it slow at first and soon it will be as automatic as the 2 wheeler was.

Thanks Shimpy!

Wow, you were really lucky to get your trike back so quickly. My dealer/installer told me it would be three to four weeks to get the kit, then another week or two to complete the build. It may be sooner but I doubt that happening. I have been reading all I can about riding the trike so I am definitely going to take it easy for a little while. Thanks again for the input.

I've been to their old shop but not the new one-seem like good people - never heard anything negative about their operation - good luck on your moving to THREE!

Thanks for the welcome. Yes, the owners seem very nice and the staff were very friendly and informative. Looking forward to many more days of riding but on 3 instead of 2 wheels. :0)

welcome aboard. the wait will be over quick I hope for you. Champion is a good conversion. I loved mine. Ride safe

Congratulations on your decision. I just finished my waiting period and took delivery of my CSC Viper this past week end during the heavy rains that flooded SC. The wait is a bummer but the finished product is worth the wait. Take it slow at first, but once you get use to the difference between 2 and 3 wheels you'll love it.

Have fun with the new Trike! Thanks for the feedback. :)

I have a Champion kit on my 07 Goldwing and have been enjoying it for four years. Just had a hip replaced 2 weeks ago and looking forward to January when we head to Texas and will be riding it again. Are you installing a rake kit when you trike it? Mine as a 6 degree rake and works great. Happy triking!!!!!

Yes, I am installing the EZ steer front rake system. Glad to hear you like your conversion. I wasn't sure if I should get the IRS or solid axel but went with IRS. I only know a couple of Trike riders in my area and they both told me to go with IRS so I took their advise and ordered it. From what I have read, either would have worked for me, but since I ride two up, I thought I should go with the IRS. Which rear end do you have on your Trike? Make a quick recovery and have fun in January. :)
