noise from front

My NEW Stallion with ONLY 600 miles on it started making a noise today. It is coming from the front and slows down as I slow the trike down and stops when I am not moving. I wonder if it could be the speedometer? I thought about pulling the fuse that powers it, but don't know which one that is. I would like to disable the speedo to see if that is in fact the problem. Any suggestions? <br />

Just a suggestion, but the noise you are hearing might be brake pad noise. With those few miles, it's doubtful that the front pads have even seated yet. I could be mistaken, however...<br />

Good suggestion. It is not the speedo, I disabled it to check. I did notice upon hard braking (up till now I have not been braking hard ) that there is a "grinding" noise from the brakes. I drove around just now and the "oscillating" noise I heard before did not happen. So, the brake pads have to be "broken in"? <br />

the front on a Stallion is noisy. Don't worry about it. It's just the nature of the beast. The pad do like to drag a little

Jack the nose up as per the book, then spin the front wheel by hand and listen for bearing noise or other noise.

You are right there were the dealer was you picked it up at. You should call them and set appt for them to look it over.

Could be wrong, but I think you just need to use the brakes a little harder (with nobody behind you) to seat the pads in good. You will also hear a noise when backing up after you wash it as it is the rear brakes.<br />

Like Gorilla said, The Stallion has a lot of noise that comes from the front.:gah When I got my Stallion I was sure the front was getting ready to fall off. With a little inspection time you see where the noise is coming from and after seeing post by other owners you understand that is common with all Stallions. The brake pads make a little noise, check the bearings and they will make some noise, On mine the brake caliper makes a little noise. My Stallion is a 08 and I keep an eye on everything but I have tried several thing to stop the noise and nothing has worked for me. I understand where the noise is coming from and try not to let it bother me. Don't know if this helps or not just letting you know we all have some noise from the front. <img src="images/smilies/thumbup.gif" border="0" alt="" title="ThumbUp" class="inlineimg" />

Most likely the slotted brake disc.....it will slowly go somewhat away.....
