That is certainly possible. I’m quite the novice how can I check to see if an aftermarket shock has been installed? Thank youIt’s possible that the previous owner changed (upgraded) the shocks.
Thanks Z. I'll call them tomorrow.Dirk, for sure the stock Harley shocks have been replaced, if you bought from a HD dealer perhaps they have the service records and could tell you. I doubt they would give you the name of the previous owner to contact but you can try.
NGU, thanks for the suggestion. I will check it out. ThanksTake one of the wheels off and look to see if you can see a coil spring over the shock. If so , you might be happy, just needs to be adjusted to your weight. I hope I’m right for you.
Thank Dan. Now I know what to look for. Have a call into the dealership to see if they have record of any conversions.Here is a pic of OEM shocks that were on my `22 Tri Glide (replaced with 14" Nexgen).
