Thanks everyone for the welcome [new member]. There will certainly be a trike of some flavor in my future. There are no hurdles to cross, because the stigmas often applied to trikes don't bother me. Leaning toward the HD Tri Glide factory factory trike. Trying to gather information on solid vs independent rear. Opinions on either are welcome.
Welcome from Southern Indiana baitman! Gobs of info on the forums and plenty to find on the web. Do some homework and take some trikes on test rides. Best way to find the trike you want to ride!
here is my .02 cents worth, my wife and i both have harley trikes hers with irs and a California side car kit and mine with solid axle and a champion kit. i have driven both and i actually like the solid axle much but if you ask my wife she likes hers better . so like everybody has told you try to ride as many as possible and take them on as many twisties as you can. myself , i seem to have to lean more with the irs suspension in curves but when going slow the irs does take the bumps better. the problem you are going to face is where to go and try to ride different trikes. i think if you find one that you really like the looks of and it runs great , just buy it and ride the heck out of it, you will learn to ride it like a pro and love it.
