My wife and I have decided to buy a bike and convert it to a trike. It will be a little while before we can do this. I wanted to join and learn. Our friends have Honda Goldwing trikes so they are suggesting those. I like them, but I want to look at other options. I like the look of the Yamaha's. Money will drive our choice to a point, but not to where we will not try to get the bike we want. Thanks in advance for the great help I know I will get from all of you.

56chevy......try to ride as many as possible to see what you like. Also how you plan to ride can make a big difference in your decision. If you are going to do a lot of highway miles and/or ride in cold or rain than the Goldwing is your best choice in my opinion. It gives you the best weather protection with its faring for rider and passenger. The power for passing is incredible without having to downshift.

Welcome from KY! Why don't you buy one already converted, there are alot of good deals on the market this time of year.

The Goldwing makes a fantastic trike! I wanted one so bad........but, I have bad knees and needed a trike that allowed "forward controls" like the V-twins and V-4s. I already had a Yamaha Stratoliner (1900 V-twin) that I loved, so the wife said, convert it, and I did! They matched my custom paint and I love everything about it. Take you time and decide what will work best for you and trust me, you will love your trike whatever it turns out to be. We have all kinds of trikes on this forum and everyone loves their trike, so just make it work for you. Bazooka is running a special on trike conversions, so check him out also!
