I'm paralyzed from chest down. I've rode 4wheelers, drive cars/trucks and now I want to build a trike to ride with my dad and brothers. I have see pretty much all of them with a back bone. Well I'm curious if I can do a platform style and use 2x3 steel instead of round bar. I want to ride from my power chair.

Welcome Jason.. I have not seen an example of what you call a platform trike...but have been thinking of a yard trike with a low platform to move welders and or toolboxes to different locations. no thoughts of design yet..

Keep us posted on what designs you have come up with, and share the build with TT.

There are trikes out there made for persons in wheel chairs. I have seen them at Auto Shows. A lot looks like the old Harley servi-carts. Whereas the body is the compartment for the rider. The back of the compartment is a ramp that you would ride up and lock you chair in.
