Hi everyone.
Am currently a two wheeler but knee problems have sent me thinking about a trike.
I don't know what I want yet (two wheels in front or back) But need at leas a 1200cc so I can get my wife to ride with me.

Re: nebie from Souther Calif.

Hey Paul.... You've come to the right place for answers, so ask whatever you like. You will get varying personal perspectives, but lots of insight and wisdom to help you make your choices. One thing for sure, you will love tricking once you get used to it!

welcome aboard Paul. Find all the local dealers and start getting ideas.

What are the advantages of two wheels in front ove two in back/
Paul

The Cam Am is the only production 2 in front. some thing it's more stable, but the traditional 2 in the rear has far more choices and is very stable. So it really comes down to what you like.

Thank you folks.
Will start looking for a trike now. I think you are right about the 2 in the rear there are a lot more choices!
Am I off the mark on the engine size? I want to do cruising with the wife and maybe pull one of the camping trailers.

Well, depending on your budget, the bigger the better. We ride a Goldwing 1800 with a CSC kit, always had plenty of power for us (and we're not little) and a fully-loaded tow-behind trailer. (See pictures on my profile) But be sure to explore every option you can, and then ask the missus which one she prefers!

It's a toss up some people have had issues with drive shaft on the Honda bit if you are considering either a Harley or Honda ride them and see witch one feels best to you !! It is what you feel comfortable with price and ride and handling !!! There are pros and cons to most all of them but mostly pros !!!

Personally I have always thought or striven for something under 20,000 but that is just me!! I always figured at that mileage if there have been any issues they will have been straightened out !!!!

Honda Gold wing . I would look at anything under 100,000 miles that has been maintained , I would then take it to a dealer have the timing belt done and new plugs . Wings should be good for 160,000.

Thank you.
Then my goal is a goldwing 1800 with nice seats, some storage with less than 100K miles.

That is a lot of help folks.

I also plan on joining a cruising club.

Welcome to the fun world of triking. Like you, 2 bad knees & assorted other aches 'n pains led me to the world of 3 wheels about 3-4 years ago. Smartest thing I did for us!!Check out my pics also. Am down here in Palos Verdes area. G'Luck
