I am leaving for West Virginia to pick up my first trike this week. I am looking forward to returning to riding after a 5 year break caused by a rare eye disease. I rode 2 wheels for 35 years prior to that. I am excited and am looking forward to learning here!

As Gorilla says, the steering is a change when you have three wheels (no more counter steering -- you must point that front wheel deliberately where you want to go). Drive the dealership parking lot and around their block a few times to get a feel for it before you head out on the highway. You will soon be at ease and find you love the trike!

What's the trike you are picking up?

You are going to love riding again, and the three wheels just add to the excitement. For me, the transition from 2 to 3 wheels was easy - have patience and get the feel of the trike...I hope you have the same experience.
