I don't know about the DNA kit, but we have two Frankenstein conversions in the family.

While I was researching kits and debating converting my Road King, I found a 2007 Sportster 883L with a Frankenstein conversion. My wife and I went to look at it and we ended up buying it for her. It is in this thread

I finished the conversion about 2.5 months ago and have put about 2000 miles on it since. I really like the kit and the folks at Frankenstein Trikes are very responsive.
