Hi - I have been lurking around for awhile. I have been interested in a trike for about a year, and learned alot while reading the posts on this site. I attempted to do the two wheel thing, but with short legs I was struggling, so made the decision to go for three. We purchased an '09 Harley Tri Glide - and it arrived late November. It took awhile to tweek it, but I now love riding it. I put almost 300 miles on it this weekend - we live in Sonoma County, CA, the weather was about 70 degrees yesterday. I have over a 1,300 totla on it already and look forward to doing some long trips this summer. My Husband rides a 2 wheel and I have enjoyed the trips we take but I am very excited about being on the front of my own. Last summer we did over 8,000 miles in one trip and I rarely saw the road in front. The trike is sooooo much fun.

Hurrah Trikergirl!!!! Good for you! As another vertically challenged woman, I can tell you that you are really going to love this, even more as you get more and more comfortable on your trike. Be sure to post pictures in the GARAGE and/or start an album on your profile page so we can all share and celebrate your fun with you! Welcome, officially, to the forum

Welcome aboard Trikergirl ! I,ve ridden 2 wheels for more years than I care to remember, and I still love them. But the trike seems to let me enjoy the whole ride a liitle more since I don't worry about some things quite as much. So glad you found our "family" here, and feel free to jump right in the middle.
Also, watch out for that Nana, she's a midget ninja...

Rode 2 wheels since 1967 with a service break and a 17 year lay up got back on 2 in 1998 switched to 3 in 2001` wish I switched in 1998 and skipped the 3 years of 2. You see so much more and U turns are much easier.

Welcome aboard Trikergirl. Glad you can enjoy the wind in your face and not your significant others hair. For whatever reason you are on 3 wheels enjoy. Ted

Welcome Trikergirl, from a fellow TriGlide owner. Got mine for the same reasons you got yours! I have had it about 6 weeks and have almost 600 miles on it. Not bad, considering we are in the middle of winter here! Good luck on your long trips. My first long one will be the end of this month, going to Daytona Beach , Fl.

Welcome aboard Trikergirl! It's often been said it doesn't matter what you ride (and by extention why you ride) - what matters is that you ride!
If you are planning any long trips this summer and have a hankering to ride in the Ozarks, let me know, you and your SO have a place to hang your helmets for a while in South West Missouri. That actually goes for anyone on the board. We have a garage to park in and extra beds to flop in and twisty roads to ride. Y'all are more than welcome!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes - I have been reading some of the past post in all areas and have learned a lot. There are very few trikes in my area and it is wonderful to be able to communicate with others who ride them. It is a beautiful day here and I'd love to go but my hands neeed to rest some more after this past weekend But if it is not raining - which we need desperately, I will be on the road again.

Welcome aboard, Trikergirl, from a soon-to-be triker girl. I expect to have my own trike very soon--sometime this month.

Nice to see so many women on this forum, and more every day!
