New to Trike talk and a Trike

Just got my 2009 Goldwing converted by adding a 2016 RoadSmith HTS1800 trike kit. Trike Small.jpeg
From Rockford, IL and have been riding mostly since 2005 on three bikes:
  1. I did have a 1972 Honda CL450 back in the early 70's
  2. then 2005 bought a 1998 Honda 1100 Shadow Classic A.C.E. Touring bike in Pearl Jade Green/Ivory color
  3. a 2001 GL1800 in Pearl Blue and a 2009 GL1800 in Deep Blue Metallic
  4. my current bike
  5. Converted to the RoadSmith trike at the end of January 2016 and waiting to get out and ride as soon as the weather is fit. Have to get some rain to wash the salt off the roads before I take it out.

Welcome to TrikeTalk from Missouri. Glad to have you aboard and hope the weather gets warmer quickly. Today is SE Missouri it's snowing and then turning to rain.

Hello Gene and welcome to the website from the U.P. of Michigan. You have a beautiful trike and what I usually recommend to new trike riders is to do a little practice in an empty parking lot. Set up two markers about 50 feet apart. then practice doing figure 8s. That will get you used to the turning and the wide rear end. When you are good at that, move them closer about 10 foot. Also, when you are ready for fuel, watch out for those yellow posts near fuel pumps, they jump right out at you!!! Ride safe!!
