My 2012 Tri Glide arrived last evening from Georgia. No owner manual and I have a question about reverse, I figured out how to activate and back up but when done backing do you turn the R switch off or just put trans in gear? Bike has V&H slip on mufflers and bottom of mufflers to ground is 6" so do you think it has a lift kit or not? I'm 5'8" and need the bars back about 2", did a search and thinking about the Khrome Werks narrow sweepers seems like most that try them are happy. Once it stops snowing and warms up a little and I get a chance to ride I'm sure I'll have more questions.

Howdy al, no need to turn off, gear up and go. Just remember that it's not engaged at the ring gear be fore moving forward.

as far as height, got to measure mine To be continued

I have krome works 2x2 wide sweepers. I'm 6'0" , like them lots.

Anything else just ask :wave4:

Like Frank said... Just hit first and [but] make sure reverse is disengage, i.e.; don't hit first if your still rolling backwards' Or you might jam the ring-gear... If that happens you can free it buy rocking the trike back and forth...

On our 2012 we have a set of V&H Twin Slash mufflers. These are little larger in diameter than other mufflers but they measure 5 3/4" from the bottom of the muffler to the ground and we have a lift kit installed. To tell if you have the stock shock mount plate or the lift plate installed (there is a difference) look at where the lower shock bolts to the plate. The stock plate will have a smooth, round fitting on the side that the shock mount bolt threads into. The lift kit plate will instead have a hex-shaped nut welded on the side that the shock mount bolt threads into.
