I think new tec can be great, however not for every, trikes are a new tec, not for all, reverse trike, not for all my 2 cents

I don't believe they were thinking 3 wheels or 2 wheels and it must be a design team that has never rode 2up. The only way I would ever consider a helmet like this would be if the camera was mounted on the bike, wireless and be on a quick change mount so it can be used on all your bikes. Other than that I like the idea, but the price is WAY TOO high.

When Honda came out with the airbag on the Gl1800 in 2006/07 it was touted to save lives!
Help me out here, but to date I have not heard or read about one case where a life was saved with the 1800 airbag.

Ever notice on forums how any technology or life safety item is highly resisted? From ABS brakes, headlight modulators, to a helmet with great life safety technology?

Over the years I taught myself to not rely upon the side view mirrors and to turn my head and physically look before switching lanes etc, that has saved my butt various times. I am sure such a helmet would have a short learning curve, but be a great safety item.

In the next couple of years the price will come down as competition drives the price with more brands becoming available with similar technology as they can not copy but slightly change and meet the requirements of no patent theft. And that will cause the original company to lower its prices.

As for the air bag, one feller I know T-boned a pickup truck and the air bag certainly saved him.

Sadly that caused him to make the decision to leave the sport entirely, but if not for that air bag the alternative would not have been first choice.

Anything that can help you cannot hurt you, anything you can add to your sack of defensive riding is always a good thing, hopefully they are not ever needed, but sure do save the day sometimes when they are needed.

I think that helmet is a very neat thing, would add to the overall increased vision awareness and you just might see the bear walking in traffic without looking twice.

Besides it could most likely be electronically connected to a couple missile launchers and that one coming at you across the center line on the cell phone would be much easier to take out. Lol!

Atlanta Georgia, oh yea, I can see the value of such a helmet there, that place causes the tightening of certain annular muscles each time I go through there.

Well, it is still a helmet, and the "experts" say a helmet should be replaced every 5 years or if it falls or is dropped. I would hope that the electronic stuff is easily and inexpensively transferable to another shell, but the closest the website seems to come to that is advising you to check with your insurance company if the whole helmet will be replaced after an accident.

This is along the line that I was thinking, what happens when someone trying the helmet out for the first time pays too much attention to the heads up display and not what is actually in front of them, even highly trained pilots have a hard time getting use to the heads up display in their helmets, empty skies are a lot more forgiving than crowded road ways.
