My girlfriend and I recently went on a 3400 mile ride with our week old Stallion. Here are a few comments on the Stallion.
1) The seats are terrible and when you spend that much on a trike it's ridiculous that you don't get a decent seat. We struggled to put in 350 miles a day because of the seat. This morning we put our Temperpedic bedroom pillows over the seats and rode 675 miles.
Anyone who owns a Stallion knows how you get approached at every place you stop and get asked a ton of questions. So today I had to explain why we needed pillows on such a nice bike.
2) Loved the bike(except for the seat), it rides down the roads great and handles awesome.
3) Heat coming constantly out the vent in front of the driver, not good

Congrats on the first trip. Help with the heat. Check and make sure the fan is in the off position and the heat selector is turned all the way on the low position the line is at its narrowest. Should not get any heat out the vent then.

The seat is a person fit thing. My wife and I rode hers 10,000 miles to California and back from the Florida keys on the stock seat. Every bike has buyers that want to change the seat because it doesn't fit them. Hondas Harleys etc. Keeps those seat people in business. So it is kind of unfair to slam the Stallion because the seat did not fit you.

Enjoy your Stallion. My wife has 70k on hers and still loves all the attention.

I dbl checked the heat often, was completely off and for a brand new bike the AC wasnt working so might have something to do with that

Yeah, when it comes to seats, it's definitely a personal opinion. Having owned literally hundreds of Motorcycles, Trikes, and Scooters, I've had stock seats I loved and never changed, and some stockers got changed in the first week of ownership...why CORBIN, MUSTANG, SADDLEMAN, SARGENT, etc. have such Lucrative Businesses.....;)...ThumbUp

If you bought it from a dealer I would have it back to them finding out why the A/C doesn't come on. Look on the Stallion forum section a guy posted some things that he did to get his A/C working. I think only about 4 or 5 months ago.

Good Luck

While I agree that seat preference is up to each individual I have to agree with you that the seat is complete crap. When you look at these stallions they are beautifully engineered and well built... but the engineering department must have been out to lunch when they made the seat. I tried many seat pads and no luck getting comfortable. Maybe my height(6'1") and short legs have something to do with it too since not everyone has this complaint but if I have to ride in pain... I aint riding it. After much consideration and other reasons too my stallion is heading to a new home... less than 2000 miles on the damn thing. HELLO CAN-AM SPYDER! I just got in from a 150 jaunt with a loaner and if I am ever to own another bike/trike this will be it.... at least my butt bones didn't hurt. I will miss the AC, when it works, as well as the looks from people and the conversations at every stop I made. Like I said, I had other reasons to sell it too but the main one was discomfort and everyone is different when it comes to that. 'nuf said

As far as the seat goes, let me tell you , I'm on my second Stallion and I've had both seats reworked at a good shop. For my money, you need to tweek the seat to fit the rider, in my case 6'1" and 380, so since I don't fit the seat..... the seat now fits me and I've riden from Florida to Texas, and all of New England. Just love your ride, the little things can be fixed!

I agree with you. After putting my Stallion on the market I decided if I am going to continue to drive it I needed to do something about the crappy seat. I ordered a new seat pan so that I could get a custom seat made and still have the original to suffer with while the new seat got made, and tweaked and what not. My Stallion got sold the day after I ordered the pan! Now I have a new seat pan if anyone wants to buy it to have a custom seat made like I was planning on doing.

I too had to have a more dense foam to replace the terrible foam from the factory !! Works great now. Now I'm trying "beads" as one of my Stallion buddies uses them and said it helps keep his bottom area cooler! I also used some of the beads to make a section for the back rest and I can tell you that I do feel the breeze on the back. Thank you MIKEY !!
The real test will be in a couple of weeks to Vermont and back.
I will say that I had ordered a black bead seat cushion to take apart and when I was caught in the rain, I wound up with some black stuff on my clothes so what ever one you may buy, soak it and wash it good to get rid of anything which may transfer to your clothing.

How much are you charging for the replacement seat?

how much for the seat pan if you still have it ? I know i'll have to send it to B&G to have foam and cover made for it. if not where and how much was the pan when when and where did you ordered it from! At 6 foot and 250 and a disabled Nam Vet I'm very limited for how long I can sit I have tried sitting on couch pillows and it seems to help some and seam that 2-3 inches higher seem to help on the legs and was thinking maybe a couple on inches wider might also help...Doc 813-469-9921 cell anytime, thanks

I just submitted a post re: "Air Hawk R" re: the same seat regard as You. Reading a lot of endorsements for this newer model and though homely looking, (hide it in trunk when displaying if it's of concern), "function trumps form" here ; I'll opt for the long distance comfort WE are clamoring for! I will order this next week when I go to my Harley dealer who stocks them so I can TRY before I BUY.
Research the testimonials; certainly less costly than re-do upholstery which may not work regardless.

I'll be getting that Air Hawk R model this week; better looking than a pillow, but there again, we're talking "Function trumping Form"
so glad you found your solution... Re: the heat/vent issue. Yes, I get ambient temps of blowing air when it's warm out and I don't have the air conditioner on. Then I'd rather have NO air coming through but, as we know, it blows nonetheless. My notion is to cut a piece of plastic or vinyl/Plexiglas too, Velcro it over the vents, (if you build up the shields border to compensate for the depth of the vent grill
and slide control). Removable of course and may solve this issue? On our autos, if you put it ion "recirculate", NO air blows, but we
don't have this ability... Enjoy, and look into that Air Hawk; lots of favorable reviews without having to reupholster with NO assurance of a good outcome. Experimenting with the air pressure on these seat covers seems to "dial-in" a good result..

Keep in mind that it is just the bare seat pan... you have to have the foam and upholstery put on

I would like to purchase it from you. Please call me at your convenience. My number is (832)689-6566. Do you have a PayPal account?

Seat pan is long gone. I actually gave it away (shipping included) to a stallion owner on here who happens to be a military veteran.... that's how I roll.
