Just turned 61 and am looking forward to doing some long distance
travels on my Shadow 750 Aero with Trigg conversion. Yesterday
was the day i got my trike. 3 days ago we bought a Suzuki Savage
600 with a voyager kit and i rode it full out from Ga. to Pompano beach
to outrun the storm. Luckily remembered how to ride a motorcycle
and since it's a smaller engine was able to go just fine. Unfortunately
my Trike isn't so easy to handle at slower speeds so am wanting to
ask a question on this on the other forum. Am happy i found this
forum.

Welcome aboard. Your trike isn't easy at low speed because it needs the rake increased. The problem is you sgould not do it with your setup, because it would be a real handful if it went back to 2 wheels. Dangerous handful. When we do a conversion we add rake to make it steer better

I'm new to triking as well and everyone here is so helpful and informative-I've learned so much. Yesterday was spent bugging:Bug2::Bug2: Bazooka-in my opinion the King of Raking- he's awesome and patiently answered all my questions and concerns and then took care of everything I needed to get a rake kit sent my way etc.

I agree that raking the S40/Savage for an outrigger installation would be a bad idea -- dangerous handling if you opt to ride with just two wheels. But for the record, The Trinity Trike has done a number of true trike conversions on the S-40's none of which even came close to needing a rake kit. So far, our very light weight rear and model specific design engineering have made it unnecessary.
