Hi! Thousands and thousands of miles under my seat with two wheels but only 800 miles so far with three. Unfortunately, that experience comes from the passing of my father as I've inherited his GL1800 trike. I've got three other bikes and had left the trike on consignment with a trike shop in Pigeon Forge - the owner a close friend of my father before his passing.

Unfortunately, the owner passed away himself last week and I'll be picking the trike back up in the next week or two. So, with the decision of whether to sell, trade or keep the trike in front of me, I figured I would need some support from those on here with more knowledge of the three-wheeled bikes and the unique maintenance involved. :)

Hey, welcome. I don't live very far from you. I might be able to help you w/questions about your trike. PM me if you'd like to meet some time.
What brand conversion do you have.
Although I have reached a point where health concerns, especially the wife, precludes long distant rides, I still like my trike!

Welcome Stacey and greetings from Long Island. If you have the room, it wouldn't hurt to hold onto the trike. Take it out some more. You might find you like it. There is nothing wrong with switching back and forth between 2 & 3 wheels (except remembering to put your feet down).

Stacey, welcome to Trike Talk from Michigan! :wave4:

We have 3 motorcycles, and enjoy them all. The more, the merrier! :D

Salutations and welcome from Peru, IN.

If you decide not to keep the trike you might want to contact Grumpy of Grumpy's Gold Wing Service, located in Thorntown, IN north west of you. He keeps contact with potential trike buyers.

Wow, I'm a member of several forums (ADVRider, etc.) but this is one of the friendliest I've seen! Thanks, guys! I appreciate the welcome!

Thank you for the condolences - much appreciated. Last summer was a rough time. It is the way of life though I treasure a lifetime of good memories and am inspired to give the same to my children.

I appreciate the advice and will surf around here a bit. I'll be picking the trike back up next weekend and am sure will have lots more questions. :D

I honestly don't recall. I'll let you know when I pick it back up. I wanna say it was Hannigan? :xzqxz: I know it is wider than my coworkers Fiat 500 when I park next to it. LOL

welcome aboard. sorry about your fathers passing. Then his friend. maybe you are suppose to keep it and enjoy?

Welcome to Trike Talk, glad you found us. Sorry about your dad and his friend also. I agree with what everyone is saying about ride the trike a little bit more and you might find out you will want to keep it. I have several friends on this site who have two and three wheelers and they like to be able to ride on the two wheels when they are by themselves and the trike when the wife wants to ride. Whatever you decide, ride safe and have fun.
