New Look of Site

Like both of the looks. It depends on mood. For me, the bright is good for reading in strong light and at times that looks better to me. The darker look is more relaxing, and is not overpowering when the lights are low. Good work, a heartfelt Thank You for all the work. ThumbUp

Be sure you are logged in first. This new site loggs you back out after a while . Then go to the right side on the top area of the thread you are looking at. The last Bar above the threads you will see Forum tools, click on that & it will give you the option for a new thread. Click on that & it will let you name the thread, & continue from there. Submit the thread & enjoy ! Need more help, just post a question anywhere. Someone will be more than happy to help !
Be sure you are logged in first tho, you won't see the Forum Tools option.............

Hi Zook,
Nice job on the board ! You are right about the dark side growing on ya, It's getting better ! At the lower right side of the threads, where you can choose another page at the quick navigation area, there is a button for "Harley Trikes", or "Top" almost covering the page selections buttons. I can sneak around it, but thought you might like to know.
Thanks

I would agree with you on that Don. I use the dark the majority of the time because its just easier on my eyes, but at times the light theme is a nice alternative and it is always in the daylight hours for me too.

Something for your immense to do list:D, the little arrow where it shows were you posted in a thread could be some other color than a little lighter shade of gray, maybe green. I've been using the dark theme 99% of the time, I like it.

You know, I don't like using a CC to donate, even for a good cause BUT I would be glad to throw some cash into a jar at the next TOI Rally. Can Zook set that up maybe. I think that could prove to be an effective way to raise funds. Just a thought.

Looking at your picture have to ask, what is Power Vision?? What is a fork baffle??

The quick navigation dropdowns don't interfere with the thread page tags in the old white page mode nearly as much as they do in the new dark page mode?

Zook really did a fantastic job upgrading this website! And for my preference, the darker theme is excellent. ThumbUp

Way-da-go ZOOK!!!!! :10:

You've missed a few important posts regarding the site. Go to the bottom left of this page and you'll see a drop down menu that says Trike Talk with an arrow on the right. Click on the arrow and a drop down menu will open, select vB4 Default Style and your done. Problem solved.

Thanks, I hadn't seen that either. Hated the black background but squared away.

I do a lot of looking and reading on this sight. And not too mush posting. Just kind of the way I am. But I do want to say thank you for all your hard work on this sight because it does mean alot to me.so Thank you!

Since the changes, I haven't been able to pull the site up on my iPad??? Is there something I can do to correct this. I pulled out the computer to see if I could still get on with this method and it works!! Love what you do Zook, it is definitely a labor of love! :)

I don't see any sign or symbol that shows that you have already read a thread before earlier when you go back in again at a later time. Am I missing something?

Do a reload on the page. It will un-mark the new posts you have already read. I wish it could do that when you leave the thread but ..........................

I don't know what you mean by "a reload on the page" or how to do that. Could you explain that.
Thanks...

If you are using Internet Explorer, look for a circle with an arrow head with an opening at the right side. It is located at the right end of the address bar beside the search icon. Click on it & wait for it to reload the page you are on. It says "refresh" with IE.
If you are using Firefox look for the same icon in a group of icons that are usually with the backup- forward arrows. It says "reload" when you hold the curser arrow over it.

Thanks for explaining the reload procedure. I see how that worked but it seems like I have to go back in & do that every day or after a certain period of time. That kind of seems like a pain, I don't have to do that on the HD forum.

Odd,,, I do the same thing on HDForuns also. But this one will mark everything back to unread if you log in again. Check the box under the log-in to "keep me logged in".

If you are using Firefox enable the bookmark toolbar. Go to the first page for the threads for the Harley trikes. Then left click, hold & slide the tab to the bookmark toolbar & drop it there. It will give you a single click access without having to log in each time.

Also if you are having reading the blue typing in a thread, just right click on the first letter of the blue & hi-lite the whole blue text like you are going to copy it. It will turn the background white in the blue. Makes it easy to read again. When done just click anywhere & it will switch back to dark.
