Check out the running boards on this trike. Ever seen anything like this? Very interesting idea. I have Hannigan running boards that can take my weight easily, but I would sure like to have the foot positions this trike has. I added Kury highway pegs last week which are okay if you are bow-legged. I guess from my Harley days, I get tired of the birthing position and want stretch out after 500 miles.

I agree about wanting to know more about that trike. What's one wild lookin ride!! ThumbUp

And yes, those are unique running boards. ;)

Just slightly off from the OP's question but the Rewaco was the trike that planted the seed for my wife and I to go to a trike. A couple of years ago we stopped in Aruba while on a cruise and took a trike tour of the island. Needless to say we were instantly "smitten" with the whole trike concept. The Rewaco model that we were on was far less fancy looking than the one being discussed here but still a pretty neat rig to ride. Shifting took some getting used to as the shifter is located on the top center of the gas tank...:xzqxz: To get back to the original question, the running boards were very rugged and could take most any amount of weight but certainly don't do anything in the way of protection from road debris, water or the like. More like a crash protection system to protect feet maybe....
