I have put my gas cap between the clutch cable and handle bar for as long as I can remember.

I do that also.... But a word to the inattentive .....Proctologist's do charge a fortune to remove it if you sit on the cap.....

I have one and it works as advertised.

Before I got the magnet I put the cap on the running board.

Didn't like the idea of possibly getting gas on my seat.
