Greetings, My wife and I bought a 2012 Tri-Glide on 11/19/11. So far we both love it. We had a 2005 H-D Heritage Classic Softail that we traded in. Being new to three wheel riding, I have a few questions. If you see a pot hole or a sunken manhole cover in the street and you can't avoid it, do you go over it with the front wheel or one of the back wheels? Is it better to slow done before you get to a turn and then accelerate through it? Does anybody have a good idea for a light in the tour pack and trunk? I really don't want to pay the money that H-D wants for their tour pack and trunk lights. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi Gil, and welcome to TrikeTalk!
Personally, I find it a whole lot more comfortable for the front wheel to hit something like a manhole cover than for a rear wheel to. But nicest is to slip the front wheel right beside it and straddle it with the rear :D. Too bad that can't ALWAYS happen! LOL!

Greetings....an idea that comes to mind for the light issue is-one of those stick on lights for closets and such, you could attach with velcro and they are as simple as pressing on the lens to activate. Otherwise you are going to have to drill a hole and run a wire etc. There are many threads about handling trikes -look in new posts, and any of the experienced riders topics address all of your questions.:wave4:

I tried the push on type of light. Overpacking kept turning it on. I tapped into my license plate light for a lighter socket that I mounted in trunk for charging my phone. That might be good for a light as long as ignition switch is at least turned on. I usually just leave a flashlight handy.
