Hi I live in western KY and am a 53 year old industrial maintenance mechanic. I have been looking at the forum for a few days. I ride a 1992 gl 1500 with 51000 miles that I am planning to put a trike kit on this winter. I am not sure which kit but looking at them all. I would also like to repaint the rest of the bike too. Welcome to the forum, I suggest you go to a rally or to dealers and ride several different trikes to find the one that suits your riding style the best. I have a Lehman Kit and love it. I think you can bet that everyone will like the kit they ride. I think one has to look at a dealership that is close to you and will support you. Many of the kits are only sold if installed by the factory while others will let you do it yourself. Good luck in whatever you choose. If you have any questions, I am sure the people on this forum will do a great job of giving you answers.

kysportsman, welcome to the board. Dwiht gave U some really good information. Ride as many as U can there is not one kit that is for everyone. Good luck and enjoy. Sometimes it seems like a endless search.

Hey James and welcome aboard!! Hope you find some useful information here and will jump right in with the rest of us. That is good info about the dealer, talk to other customers and do take into consideration how close they are. i have to travel at LEAST 50 miles to get anything done to mine. Keep us posted on what you decide...

I understand what you're saying about the rider / kit fit. However; would you have any advice pertaining to independent suspension versus a single axle?
