New front tire suggestions?..

Michelin Pilot activ used to be the go to tire for trikes.
Well that’s gone…. Any suggestions for a replacement front tire

Just put 1;000 mi on thé Avon trike tire……so far I like it, handles my ‘23 Tri just fine!

With the fact that Avon will no longer be producing the Cobra Chrome AV91 Trike tire, the most popular choice is the Bridgestone Battlax BT46. It's a rear tire that is same size as a Goldwings front tire. People either love it or hate it but it's probably the only real choice for now. And I too was a Michelin Pilot Activ believer and wish they were still around.

Rear tire mounted backwards is what I will install when my stock tire needs replaced. I did on my previous trike and worked great.

I would also recommend the BT 46. I’ve had one on all three of my gold wings and I am very satisfied with it. Very long lasting and comfortable.

We like he way it handles and rides, with the Avon Trike tire.
I never heard Avon was stopping them being made.
I heard Goodyear bought them out and thought they would continue to make them.
Will have to see.

Possibly some good news on Avon Trike tires... Now Bad News...

There have been many rumors floating about that the Avon Cobra Chrome AV91 Trike tire has been discontinued. And checking with pretty much all motorcycle tire retailers showing "out of stock" for a very long time now lended some credibility to it. I decided to contact Avon and see what they had...

They may be available but at the price they want, they can keep them. I'm sure someone will be willing to pay that but once they are gone, they are gone. For the mileage I got out of my last one, I can't see spending almost double than what a BT46 would cost. On my last Battlax, I got more miles on that than the AV91 Trike tire before I had to replace. JMHO.

I agree on price. I have one on my bike that is almost ready for replacement, and I have one waiting in my basement. After that, I will be moving to the BT46.

It's kind of a shame because if the AV91 Trike tires were still being made and offered at a reasonable price, I would still buy another. I got lucky in my last one about 5 years ago and found it on a special at the online Walmart page for $89. That was a steal. I should have ordered more than 1.

True. Actually I still wouldn't have it because it would have been installed on my 07 last summer when the front tire needed to be replaced which I now no longer have. Instead, the AV91 got replaced with a BT46 which I also no longer have...
