After this last trip to Sturgis, SD on two wheels my buddy and I decided to trade in two wheels for three. He got the Harley Glide, 2010 model, and I got a new 2009 Goldwing with a Champion Trike kit. Both came from the same dealer in in Ft. Wayne. I have just over one thousand miles and do love the trike, not to mention the power of the Goldwing. My last bike was a 07 1600 Nomad, beautiful machine but it doesn't have the power that this wing has.

Hi NamVet. A big welcome to the TrikeTalk family! What a beautiful new trike :D! Sounds like you and your buddy have adapted to three wheels easily and are having a great time. Get your buddy on here too!

And thank you for your service! So glad you came home from Nam safely!!!!

Welcome home brother and welcome aboard TT. Congrats on the GW trike.

Welcome Fellow Nam Vet. A friend who normally rides a Night Train took his dads 2002 Champion Wing for a ride . Came back and said you don't need all them gears with that just crank up 1st and u could throw it right in 5th , that thing is fast. I was doing 60 before I knew it. I think he was surprised what a trike was like and what power a Wing has.

A few years ago myself and a few other wingers met up at an old airfield in Scotland. We decided to have a race of half a mile on the straight to see who was the quickest.
I was second a metre behind the 1800 solo and I was on a trike. So the answer is......the wing is quick and powerful:yes::yes:
(we all had the correct safety gear and helmets on when doing this)

Doesn't sound like the NUT holding the handle bars was tight enough. Been there done that and left quite a few 2 wheelers by surprise. mines a 1500 only 15hp less than the 1800 wing.
