Hey Guys and Gals,

I just joined up when I found this thread on Google. I am interested in the Stallion trikes and I understand that they are out of production. I am getting to the age that I have a hard time riding my 2 wheel toys and would like to consider a trike. The only Stallions that I can find for sale range in price from $2750.00 to $30,000.00 plus. This is quite a spread. Any info that you can provide would be helpful.

Thanks, Roy

welcome aboard Roy.

The Stallion was built from 2008 to 2013. Only about 900 or so were built. They were built using the Ford Ranger 4 cyc. drive train from the 2007. Basically they ran out of drive trains and the economy went soft the retool costs to high to start up again. Built by Thoroughbred Motor Sports a sub company to Motor trike Inc. The first 2 years the bodies were hand laid fiberglass. Then they switched to a injected mold body mid 2009. About 1/2 were fiberglass and 1/2 were injected molded bodies. My wife has 90k miles on her 2008 Unit # 406 and the group here shares information to keep them running. Some parts are still available through Motor Trike and of course FORD.

So when it comes to buying a used one it's what you can get one for. With such little numbers there really is no data that says what is the going price. They sold for $33k new.

Suggest you go to our Stallion section and read up on what we've posted over the years. If you want one ask us questions we will answer the best we can.

Welcome to Trike Talk! Glad you joined us.

I've been by your area many times, usually driving a tour bus headed for all the "touristy" areas - Bar Harbor, Acadia, even up to Calais and over to St. John, N.B.
