Need to wire lower trunk to right saddle bag indicator

I don't know how to wire my lower trunk to the right side saddle bag indicator on the dash. I have a 2012 Roadsmith and the installer failed to wire the lower trunk to the right saddle bag so I need some help.

I just went through this with another member a few weeks ago. He ended up just installing a red LED in one of the rear speaker housings and using the OEM switch to supply voltage when the door was open.

Think I'd be jumping back on the installer, but then there could be reasons why you'd rather not. I had a problem with my install, the aux tank had a fuel leak, not RS fault, the outside supplier's goof. However, my installer ordered in a new tank, back to Daytona Beach for a new aux tank install. No joy in doing the long trip and hanging out for four hours, but necessary to get it done. That trip on I-4 is no fun at all.

Need to call RS and have them send you the wiring diagram. The lower trunk sensor plugs directly into the original right saddlebag connection. Literally plug and play. Ask me how I know.

The problem is room. I finally reached my trunk connection by removing the right wheel. The old saddlebag connection is easy to find and all you have to do is plug it in to the plug exiting the lower trunk at the top.

Sounds like you had the same installer I did.

I live in Southern UT and the installer is in Rome GA. Scary and stay away.
I've replaced the aux tank and not too happy with Roadsmith over that one either. They said oh you aren't near a dealer well then I guess you are on your own. I removed and reinstalled the tank on my own. I've read in their owners manual that if you have a problem and there is no dealer close then take it to a automotive repair facility and they will fix it and RS will pay the bill. I own a mustang restoration business and can do my own work but that didn't matter, I was still on my own. Oh yeah, I should give credit where credit is due, RS did send me a new tank.

i know it is not really that close but there is an excellent trike dealer in SLC Crossroads Trike and Trailer and he is a roadsmith dealer. He should be able to help you. Closer then Rome.

What, UT to Rome GA, that is unreasonable by RS, and really not good for business or the product. Surely they have an approved installer closer than Rome GA. I would hope they would post here and clear up this issue. I had problem with my aux tank as well, so they must be using an outside supplier that is not doing their due diligence with quality control. There is such a thing as a pressure test.

Here is what the Raodsmith owners manual says:
"For Roadsmith trike conversion customers located outside a 125-mile radius from anyauthorized dealer, warranty repairs may be performed at a local repair facility chosen by the
consumer. The owner of such Roadsmith trike conversion with a potential warranty claim must
contact The Trike Shop prior to any warranty work being performed. The Trike Shop will
authorize warranty work only after being presented with a binding estimate from the business
performing the warranty work. The Trike Shop will pay the business directly for the warranty
work or reimburse the customer in accordance with the estimate. Any potential estimate
overages must be approved by The Trike Shop."
Now I don't know what mechanic is going to give a binding estimate on a job that they have no idea how to perform. SLC Crossroads Trike and Trailer is about 250 miles from where I live. The Trike Shop should have a standard rate for the things that can go wrong with a trike and just pay the customer to preform the work. Then the person who completes the work is taking on the warranty responsibility. But I guess what is done is done and I'll just take care of it. I appreciate all your guys help on this issue the input was invaluable to me.
