Need references to price trike for sale

I have a 2011 Harley California Conversion trike that I would like to sell. Does anyone have any preferred places where you can get a correct value of worth? Thx

Welcome to TrikeTalk Sonja! This is the place to be when discussing all kinds of trike stuff.

You will find it hard a get an exact value. Especially since it's not a factory trike, but an aftermarket conversion. One good place for help in determining values is Cycletrader. You can search for similarly outfitted setups and see the asking prices there.

What I have commonly seen too is that the price of used bike gets determined and then add maybe $8-10k into that price because of the conversion. This is not a hard and fast rule but will get you into the ballpark. In reality, it all comes down to what someone is willing to pay. Don't just search for the exact year either as you will be limiting your search. Maybe include 2 years earlier and 2 years later. Installed accessories can be and probably should be included in description but rarely add any value. Also don't forget that mileage will be a determining factor. The higher the mileage, the less value it will be.

Take it to an HD dealer for an "show room floor" estimate. Sure they will low ball you but add 16- 21% to that number( that works in reverse when buying and I automatically deduct $2000.00 if it's had its ass kicked dyno tuned) . Be emotionally prepared to take a loss due to age and conversion status. Sorry to be a downer but I buy and sell now and then.
