I have a 2012 trike with with 7K miles. It's my guess the front tire is the original tire for the trike. The tire is worn down with about 1000 miles remaining. Is 7,000 miles average for a trike front tire? I understand a lot of trike owners use an Avon tire made for the front of trikes. I'm looking for recommendations on tires and where to buy. Comments are appreciated.

Yes! I use the Avon trike tire. Second year/season, with the tire... Happy soooo far! :clapping:

I have a 2012 and running a Avon Cobra Trike Tire on front. Tire has 8K miles and it and it looks in great shape. Will probably get another 7K or 8K miles on kit before I replace. Running PSI at 38 Cold

Some swear by the Cobra trike tire. I have over 10K miles on mine, just not impressed. I'm heading up to the Blue Ridge in July, for a week and over 2K miles........I'm changing back to the Bridgestone BT45 Battlax (rear) 130/70H-18, $108 + $5 tire cost from Dennis Kirk. My Avon Cobra may last until I get home, but I'm not chancing it. I've used both the BT45 and the Avon Cobra, and it's just my opinion that the Cobra just does not justify the extra cost as compared to the BT 45 Again, that's just me, and there are plenty of folks out that would dispute my choice.

Another vote for the Avon Trike tire, I've only got about 5,000 miles on it but in the twisties I can break the rear loose before the front will slide.

Avon Cobra Trike Radial here too. Rides great and handling is great as well, takes a set in a corner.

Have a 1/2 worn competitor's bias ply rear tire on hook on wall and it'll stay there, for even though it wore like iron, it rode like iron too.

Just a heads up, the
Bridgestone BT45 Battlax has been replaced by the BT50
