Need Electrical Guru ????

Looking at the wiring on my 2016 TriGlide and the security siren seems to be 12v triggered by a signal from the BCM (Body Control Module). I'm wondering if the trigger voltage is 12v, can the trigger signal just operate a 12v relay connected to the main bike horn?

This would then use the main bike horn for both functions. Might have to install diodes to prevent confusing signals, but it should be a lot cheaper than the $100 security horn! (I did the radio shack pezio horn mod to my 03 Roadking, but was not impressed with the horn volumn at all.)

Just need info on the trigger voltage from the BCM, any help would be appreciated!

I have the 68328-06A Security Siren on my 2014. It is a lot more than just a siren. It also sends a signal to my optional pager. It is pretty loud .... or it can be put in silent mode to just send a signal to my pager unit.

It is a very simple install, plug and play unit. A canbus system is not like a normal 12 volt old school bike.

Mine chirps on shutdown to let me know it is activated ..... and my horn sounding instead would be quite annoying.

This is why I asked for a Guru! Nowhere does any manual explain the BCM and all prints show 12v to the horn and siren for power! Just trying to figure out the trigger voltage to see if a mod could be feasable!

Guess I'll get out the meter and check the trigger power! Stay tuned!
