Need Help

I am a auto transmission technician not a motorcycle tech that being said I took the cover off my trike it was in my garage all winter on a trickle charger “ harley “ and turned the ign switch on all my drive lights came on and the fuel pump BUT no radio, gauges handle bar controls , odometer or security light and of course no power to starter switch ? I checked ALL fuses load tested battery changed batteries in key fob ? I’m lost

I think you need to get a new battery, Especially if its the original battery from 2018..

Also you say trickle charger.....If by that you mean its not a battery maintainer and one of those half amp contestant charger that type can rune a battery if left on all winter..

‘sorry it is a battery tender bought from Harley Davidson

‘sorry it is a battery tender bought from Harley Davidson

Another thought…..when you press the start button are you pressing the brake pedal “hard”…?…..if by chance if the trike is in gear it ‘ by design won’t start …Again if the original battery is in the Trike’ I would get a new replacement….

Just a suggestion

Try a jump pac , then the on off ign switch procedure to reset the computer.

You said you checked fuses, did you probe both sides of ALL fuses with a test light?

Check the battery cable lug on the starter for voltage, you should see the same voltage as @ the battery

Pull the main fuse ( 50 Amp) under LS cover, clean the spade ends and reinsert it, does the fuse wiggle?

So I took the cover off of my 2018 triglide that I bought new turned the key on and no start, after I also noticed no radio and no handlebar controls no odometer all external lights and fuel pump comes on! So I changed fob batteries I checked fuses I load tested battery I checked all connections and found nothing.

People telling me must be BCM so I decided to bring back to dealer. After many days they tell me BCM was fried gave me a price 900.00 with labor lol it takes 30 seconds to change, anyway then they call me back to tell me the part is obsolete and the new one is 180.00 more bringing the bill past 1000.00 and tell me that’s were we have to start !

I wasn’t happy so I started looking on u tube and found a story of this guy who had a similar problem he said some bikes when put together at factory or when someone changes handlebar they pinch the harness coming out of left control. So I decided to pick bike up pay them the 150 diagnostic fee I bought it home turned key on and started to loosen the bolts on left controls and almost everything went on.

So I took off the rest of it and found this I fixed the wires and now the bike is fixed I called Harley and told service manager to listen to this and I started bike ! Then went down to Harley and bought new harness 25.00 and bike is now completely fixed ! So just wanted to share my experience if this happens to you ck these wires.

So, were the wires pinched from the factory the entire time and just now reared its ugly head? Or had you before you parked it for the winter nap done any work on the controls or handle bars?

My problem was from a mouse spending the winter in my fairing. Electrical tape fixed everything.

Moth balls…When I would put my snowmobiles away in my pole barn I would put moth balls around the machines .. That solved z The mice problem..
