Need advice on what to look for

I had something happen, that I don't know what to look for and was wanting some feedback from you guys.
While driving the trike entering the highway, I accelerated in four gear up to about 60 mph. All of sudden the RPM's of the bike jumped up like someone had slighted pulled in the clutch. I let off the throttle and it went back to normal. This happened twice within 20-30 minutes, both times in the accelerating situation.

Could it be the clutch slipping, a belt slipping???? A friend of mine said it could some type of sensor on the crankshaft or camshaft.

I want to add that I just picked up my new motor trike conversation just 2 weeks ago. I have a 2013 Road Glide Ultra.


Any ideas what to consider is greatly appreciated.

Check your clutch adjustment COLD
Start by loosening the cable, then with derby cover off loosen the jamb nut, wind in the center screw til it lightly touches, back off screw l turns tighten the nut, make final adjustment @ the cable adjuster till u have 1/8th movement @ the perch

I found out that clutch was slipping, apparently before I triked my bike the clutch must have been weak. Upgraded to variable pressure clutch. Wow what a difference.
