National Ice Cream Day

Will be getting the trike out and going to enjoy some Ice Cream. Double scoop of smiles. Jim

Enjoy! Just pulled the trike back in the garage from enjoying some ice cream after a lunch with one of our daughters and one of our five grandsons. And taking the long way home.

Gotta be a story there somewhere, Bob???!!!

It was Horrible, I tell you just Horrible....I don't know if i want to relive it...

It was the Summer of 92, And the hottest July on record in New York since the previous hottest July on record... The temperatures were 98% and rising.... There i was on Rt 81 headed north with thousands of other vehicles like a long lost caravan struggling for a brea-th of cool air all going north chugging up the long uphill grade to the cool air of the Tug Hill Plateau, It was so hot there were mirages and heat waves rising off the pavement....I tell you it was Horrible.. So Horrible i can't go on.....I will have to compose myself and finish this Horrible story latter......:xzqxz:

Do go on Bob... we GOTTA here the rest of the story!

Just what I need, another reason for some more Ice Cream.

On a sadder note, Costco had a good deal on vanilla ice cream. To me it tasted as good as it used to be.

They recently stopped carrying it due to the great vanilla bean shortage/price increase.

A sad day.........................

and I got a great deal on the 48oz size 99 cents at the local Kroger's, limit 5 and I got them. I'm have peach right now. :clapping:

Just as we were approaching the summit , And the Tug hill Plateau was almost in site, A Horrible tragedy happened , The intense heat collapse a overpass, And the highway was shut down...Closed, And the heat was unbearable we were stranded for hours, People were out of their hot cars walking around looking for water 'No begging for water and relief from the horrible heat, When all of a sudden someone in the crowd yells, Look up front theres an 18 wheeler loaded with Ice Cream, Maybe we can get some..

But the driver said he couldn't give the Ice Cream away, It was paid for and contracted

to someone...And as long as i have enough fuel to keep the freezer running , Nobody gets any, Just then the crowd started to get larger and angrier, And turning into a hot Horrible mob, Someone in the mob then yelled, Lets just take the Ice Cream!..

And so they did...It was a Horrible site, Like a pack of Wild Hyenas on a single Chicken Bone...

And that was the last time i had Ice Cream since the Great Ice Cream Disaster Of 92...
