Motor Trike Inc. in Troup, TX is needing ONE 2013 Harley Davidson Tri-Glide. It MUST be a 2013 Model year only. We want to test a few components on the newest version of the Tri-Glide and will require the bike to be here for 3 to 4 weeks and MUST arrive at our facility before the Thanksgiving holiday. Transportation costs will be the responsibility of the customer.

As a thank you, Motor Trike will at no charge install a trailer hitch with removable draw bar, Tri-Glide Trog Trax (painted to match your Tri-Glide) with fog light kit, and chrome accent rings at no cost (a $2,000 value)!

Call Motor Trike, Inc. at 1-800-908-7453 and speak to Richard Purdy. When we have made the arrangements with the one lucky customer, we will update this posting.

So you need the bike for 3 to 4 weeks; and you want the person who is kind enough to part with their brand new trike to pay the shipping and transportation costs to do you that favor?

Fascinating.

Also, be sure to warn that customer that their brand new warranty may be compromised by that trailer hitch. My local HD dealer says they will not cover drive train issues under warranty if a hitch is installed.

Maybe it's just me, but I see it as someone giving me 2 grand for a month with my bike during a time of year when I'm barely able to ride anyways.. If I had one, I'd jump at the chance.

As far as the trailer hitch "issue", it varies by specific dealer on that part of the equation, this is also why aftermarket manufacturers make their trailer hitches a bolt on, so it can be EASILY removed if "need be". If it was such a huge issue, there wouldn't be companies out there offering trailer hitches for bikes because they wouldn't sell any of them.

We would like to thank everyone for the interest and the calls about bringing your Tri-Glide in for us to use. We have made arrangements and will have a bike here by the beginning of the week.

Too bad mine is an '11, I would have hit the road tomorrow for that deal. Nobody will wait till 2016 when I get my 2013!!??

My take on this is why not. Granted what I did wasn't like shipping a whole trike, but I did ship out a head pipe. When the 2010's came out and folks where mighty unhappy about the catalytic converters and nobody was making a replacement exhaust we got Fuelmoto to step up. Jamie said if someone was to send him a head pipe he would use it to get the measurements so he could produce one. Nice guy that I am I sent my dads:D, in return Jamie got what he needed and shipped the head pipe back plus gave me the 1st Jackpot head pipe for a Triglide he made.

I agree M3, this killer deal is a no-brainer especially for someone living close by to MT. Apparently several others agree too as MT instantly got multiple takers. I've seen several Harley dealers selling and installing trailer hitches so it seems it depends on what dealer your dealing with on the warranty issue.

Besides, being that its FREE you could always just take the hitch off, sell it and pocket the money if the warranty issue concerns you. Someone is getting $2K worth of color-matched, lighted and installed running boards and a free hitch or $200 bucks in their pocket! What a freakin' sweet DEAL!

Kudos Motor Trike! Keep the deals coming!
