Ok, I took my 2019 Tr-Glide into the dealer for the 5000 mile check up. Well that seems to be fine. I also told them that on the intercom between the pilot and passenger was acting up. The problem was the passenger volume was going down by itself. My wife swears that she didn't touch the switch. The dealer looked into it and told me they couldn't duplicate the problem. So I'm driving home with my helmet hooked up so could used the phone if need to. Stopped at an intersection, looked down at the screen and the volume for the passenger was going down to zero. passenger helmet was not hooked up. Called the dealership. They said they would have to call HD on Tuesday. Has anyone else have this problem? Would like to get it fixed before I leave for Sturgis on Saturday. Any Ideas?

If you could watch it going down, this sounds like the radio is seeing the passenger volume down control being "held down." I expect that there is an intermittent short in the circuit or that there is conductive "gunk" inside the switch. First, I would spray electrical contact cleaner around the switch lever to clean the inside of the switch. Second, exercise the lever between up and down positions a bunch of times to ensure that anything which might be causing the lever to not rest in its neutral position is worked out and to further clean the mechanism. If neither of these help, then you have either a defective switch or a problem with the wiring between the switch and the radio head. Please let us know what you find out.

Alan, if the fuss was loose, my volume indictors would have been going down along with the passengers. Just thinking, my wife was complaining that one of the headphone speakers would work sometimes and sometimes not. She had to fiddle with the plug in to get it to work. I'm kind of guessing that something wrong with the connection of the plug-in or something wrong with the radio unit. The only thing I use is the intercom and the GPS and not the radio. Anyway, have to wait till they open on Tuesday. Thanks.

Walt. When I was at the dealer today telling them about the problem, I manually worked the switch up and down. It felt like it was going back to the neutral position to me. Ya, it could be a defective switch. Or a wiring issue between the switch and the radio. I guess I'll just have to wait for the to pro's figure it out. Not sure if I trust the tech's at the dealership or not. Thanks for your help. Jerry

Well today I took the seat off. Took the wiring connector's apart, put a little Dielectric grease in the pins. Put it all back together. The Mrs. and I took a 100 mile ride today. Everything worked as it should. I remember that I did take the connector's apart when I put the tour pak relocator on. Maybe I did something??? Who knows. Just have to keep an eye on it.
