MC Wallet Help...

Just got a MC Wallet with chain. You know the one with snaps and the chain to keep it from being lost while riding. How does one use the inside pockets. No special place to arrange credit cards and such. Or do you just put them in the wallet loosely. Was told I needed this if I am to ride much. Only takes one time to loose the wallet while riding and lesson learned. Can anyone help me?

Gee I didn't know I had to have one of those. Riding for almost 50 years and have never lost a wallet. Maybe I should not have said that. Know to your question, I've seen them with compartments and without. The orginal guys that cared them did not have credit cards to worry about. So what they had was just put in it.

I got out of carrying a wallet in my back pocket after my last back operation. Dr. told me that sitting on that much of a bump in my pocket was the last thing I needed. Now I carry a money clip which includes a credit card in my front pocket. I can't see myself as a rider with one of those chained wallets. But if it works for you all the better. Everybody is different. Ride safe

Used to use one of those. The traditional "truckers wallet" didn't have much room for anything but cash and maybe a little change and a driver's license.
Took me years to figure out the chain kept getting caught on stuff, and I never had a problem of it falling out of my pocket anyway. I found that not sitting on a wallet makes for a much more comfortable ride. I stash my wallet in the trunk of the trike.

My Grandpa was a truck driver back in the day - coast to coast in a Mack, no A/C, no power steering, no stand-up double sleeper. When I first wore a chain wallet he told me truckers had them because when he drove everything was cash. They had to carry quite a bit of money on them to cover gas, food, lodging and such. The chain prevented leaving the wallet on a counter or someone doing a grab-and-run.

I put my wallet in my saber pack I have the thigh pack I which is no longer made. But they have a pack II which looks great its just a lttle smaller. I think they're both are great and makes it easy for those of us that carry guns.

THEY ARE AMERICAN MADE WHICH IS UNUSUAL

The fourth one on that list is the one I use. Holds skinny wallet, phone, and extra glasses or a little camera.

I'll admit it. I'm that guy with the motorcycle chain hooked to his wallet. It unclips quickly in case someone wants to get jumpy...you know

I put my regular wallet in my front pocket when I'm on a trip with the trike. I've been doing it since I started riding in the '70's. :yes:

Thanks for the info. on the Sabergear Thigh Pack II. I too have been looking for a convienent place for my pistol plus all the extra gear you always want to carry and I think I found it in the Sabergear, at least I hope so because I ordered one last night after seeing their home page that you made available. Again, thanks for the info.

You could always rig a wallet. Buy what you like and punch a grommet hole and add a chain and clip.

After building the trike I don't have any need for a wallet now... besides, if it was chained to my pants, and I lost them... I'd lose the wallet too

Just what I have been looking for. I ordered a different type of basically the same thing, but it wasn't big enough to carry my pistol in. This has plenty of room and will be more comfortable also. Thanks for the link.

I carry my billfold in the trunk.
Also have a money clip with credit card pocket. I care this in my front pocket or fairing pocket.

I do the same thing. I keep a small amount of cash, driver license and visa card in the money clip then stash the wallet with everything else in the trunk or tour-pak.

I have a guy who works for me that likes to crack biker jokes. One of them is about the wallet with the chain being a chain drive wallet with some village people references.
