Maybe new car instead of trike???

I may have to think hard on getting a new car instead of a trike. My car is not quite a year and a half old and I've been in 3 accidents and a lady opened her SUV door into the side causing $200 damage (didn't count that in the 3). Two accidents are with people with no insurance, one I hit a deer. Yesterdays was a 3 vehicle and I was in front. Need a new back bumper. 20 year old kid who had been driving crazy (I was around him for 20 plus miles going to work) he slowed down for a cop and I ended up changing lanes after he almost clipped me and got in front of him in the other lane, and a gal was behind me. Stopped for a red light and KABOOM, he rearended her and she hit me. He has no license, driving someone else's car who texted him an insurance card. He had a DUI in February (underage). Called the car insurance yesterday...there's a problem with the policy..why did I know that. I'm tired of dealing with people with no insurance. Errrrr. I think my car is a jinx.

Today is the Blessing of the Bikes so I'm heading up that way in a little bit. Keeping my eyes open and fingers crossed. Everyone enjoy the day and stay safe on the roads. I really want a new trike though LOL

Girl you are like Bozo, if you didn't have Bad Luck, you wouldn't have any luck at all!
You are correct, there are vehicles out there that attract accidents(LOL), not really, people are the ones who create accidents.
Gee Jolie, I don't think I can put a vehicle in my trailer this winter when I head South to take you to Florida with us! LOL
I am glad it is not me making that decision, about a trike or a vehicle, maybe your insurance will come through! Knowing them, NOT!

Hopefully their insurance will come through...I'm tired of paying my deductibles because I know I won't get it back through subrogation...if they can buy insurance and driving someone elses vehicle they don't have the money to pay my insurance back.

I think I need to move to FL. LOL my wrist only feels good in warm weather. I'm afraid it's always going to ache in the cold weather.

I'm just a mess!

I need to get some closure on the wrist accident, the car accidents so I can enjoy the sunshine and riding more! Not working extra any more so I can ride more!

Isn't there an old saying that goes something like: "Bad things happen in 3's" or "3rd time a charm". According to superstition your luck is looking up. :Shrug:

A hint Jolie: Always keep a trouble maker in the front where you can keep an eye on them. When they're to your rear they can sneak up on you.

As far as that "3's" thing, my wife always says bad news comes in threes. I hope you're done with it.

So if I understand correctly, that's 3 accidents in a car. I recommend selling car and only riding trike. That car sounds like bad luck.

If I remember correctly, our gal Jolie was thinking about a new (or newer), larger and more powerful (the Suzuki C50 is 800cc and 40 - 45 hp) trike. With the beating her car has taken it seems to me she may have to choose to keep her C50 Tramp to get a new car instead of a new trike.
Anyhow, good luck whatever you do, Jolie. Your posts have been great to read. You have expressed a joy for riding a lot of us take for granted after many years in the saddle. Your writings have helped me, at least, to remember and recapture that new to riding feeling.

Turn your car into your own insurance and let them fight it out with the lady who hit you insurance? I finally had to do that with my trike after I messed with multiple insurances costing me last years riding season.

ding ding ding. Winner. In my state I also carry uninsured/underinsured insurance. When I had my bike wreck, the biotech that hit me had the least insurance she could carry. State Farm came in and cut a check for my bike and went after her insurance. Same thing with medical.

Jolie, might be time to get rid of the car. Year and a half old and 3 wrecks, you don't know what has been damaged along the way. You have a trike you love but a car seems more important for your winters. Good luck

Wait..wait..you can not put a Gremlin bell on unless it is given to you. Did you know that? That was the tradition when we skied, someone had to give you the bell in order for it to work. Then we put them on our gloves.
But, I am sure being 30+ years ago when we skied traditions do change! LOL

The video was down a little way on the page. It was nearly over before I scrolled down the page. It was pretty amazing to see how the boiling water was poured onto the damage and how he pushed it all out from the inside of the body.
